Editorial Policy
Our job is to make a purchase easier to evaluate—not to manufacture certainty.
Last updated: August 7, 2026Evidence hierarchy
We prioritize current manufacturer specifications, manuals, safety instructions, warranty documents, compatibility tools, regulatory records, and credible primary documentation. Secondary reporting can provide context but does not replace product-specific verification.
Research-based and hands-on reviews
Research-based articles clearly state their evidence basis and do not imply physical use. Hands-on claims may be published only when the work, product version, conditions, and limitations are documented. We never invent personal experience, customer opinions, sales volume, stock, discounts, or ratings.
How we reach a verdict
We define the intended user and use case, identify decision-critical specifications, check compatibility and ownership requirements, document credible benefits and limitations, compare relevant alternatives, and write a conditional recommendation. We avoid a numerical rating when there is no documented scoring method and evidence.
Commercial separation
Editorial data is stored separately from affiliate offer data. An article can be published without an offer, and an offer can be disabled without editing the article. Network relationships and commission rates do not determine conclusions.
Publication states
Draft content is never public. Scheduled content becomes eligible only at its configured time and after validation. Published content can appear in navigation, feeds, and the sitemap. A failed source or link check can return content to draft.
Updates and corrections
Material product, compatibility, safety, and support changes are prioritized. Published and updated dates are shown separately. Substantive errors are corrected promptly; changes that alter the recommendation should be explained in the article.
AI-assisted work
Automation may help organize source material, detect duplicates, or draft structure. A publication decision still requires validation against reliable sources and our content rules. Unverified generated claims remain draft.
