Editorial Standards
Readers should be able to see why we reached a conclusion, where the information came from, and what remains uncertain.
Last updated: September 17, 2026Evidence before conclusions
We favor manufacturer documentation, exact-model specifications, manuals, compatibility information, and reliable retailer information. We distinguish documented features from our interpretation of their usefulness. Unsupported claims are omitted or held as drafts.
We write original analysis rather than republishing a manufacturer's sales description. Product images identify the item being discussed; they do not imply endorsement or manufacturer authorization.
Research is labeled honestly
Our current product coverage is research-based. We do not claim to have bought, used, or tested a product unless we can document that work. We do not invent ratings, customer opinions, sales, visitors, awards, media coverage, prices, or availability.
The byline WorthTrove Editorial Team identifies the publication responsible for an article. It is not a claim about the size of a staff or the credentials of an invented person.
Commercial links do not decide the verdict
An article can recommend looking elsewhere even when a product has an affiliate program. Commission rates do not determine our strengths, limitations, alternatives, or conclusions. Brands and affiliate networks cannot purchase approval of an independent verdict.
When applicable, an affiliate link is labeled near the action and accompanied by a disclosure. Ordinary source links do not become commissioned recommendations merely because a brand operates an affiliate program.
Dates and corrections mean something
We preserve original publication dates and show the last substantive update. Material factual errors receive a correction or update note when a change affects the reader's decision. We do not silently replace inconvenient evidence with a stronger claim.
Automation does not replace verification
Software may help organize sources, draft text, and check links. Every published claim must still have a reliable basis. Generated text is not evidence of product performance, and automated checks cannot establish personal experience or image rights.
